The Hi-Desert Water District Board of Directors will meet tonight in a regular session with over 18 items on the agenda, will hold a public hearing, and elect a new president and vice president of the board for 2020. Assignment reporter Keith Bailey has the details on the agenda…
First, the Hi-Desert Water District Board of Directors will open a public hearing on the district’s sewer system management plan. After the public hearing, the directors are expected to adopt the resolution recommended by the Engineering Committee establishing the plan. Next, the directors will receive direction and information on a policy for Package Treatment Systems hooking into the sewer system. Then, the directors will receive information on the cost savings from the partial redesign of the Barron, Paxton, and Kickapoo pump stations. After that, the directors are expected to adopt a resolution that will establish the billing policy for sewer operation and maintenance fees. Finally, the Board of Directors will enter into a closed session with legal counsel over anticipated litigation. Tonight’s regular meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in the district offices at Inca Trail and Highway 62 in Yucca Valley.
