HI-DESERT WATER DISCUSSES SEWER CONNECTIONS

At last night’s meeting, the Hi-Desert Water district board of directors held an informational presentation outlining the schedule that Yucca Valley property owners will need to follow to connect their private wastewater systems to the main lines. According to the agenda report, Yucca Valley property owners will receive notifications outlining this connection process six months prior to the event; notifications of when property owners are required to connect to the main system will be sent 90-, 60-, and 10-days prior to the deadline dates.

Preliminary maps for the process:
The board also watched an update video on the construction progress of the wastewater treatment center and authorized a number of district purchases; including over $26,000 worth of electrical equipment needed for the new wastewater treatment plant, a new $518,000 sewer truck for cleaning the district’s waste water collection system, a $20,000 computerized maintenance management system, and $40,000 towards website design and development services.
