At last night’s meeting of the Board of Directors for the Hi-Desert Water District, the board tabled the resolution that would have changed the regular board meeting from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., because the Chair of the Public Action Committee( Richard Hart) said that working people would not be able to attend the 7:30 a.m. meetings. The Board also thought it would be a good idea if the issue was presented to the Public Action Committee before making a decision on the change. In other business, the members approved and adopted the Water and Wastewater budget for fiscal years 2019 and 2020. The members voted to approve a $268,000 contract with W.M. Lyles to build a perimeter wall for the Wastewater Treatment and Reclamation Facility.
