HI-DESERT WATER BOARD TAKES UP SEWER FINANCING, JOSHUA TREE LISTING

Tonight’s meeting will cover various topics, starting off with a resolution discussing the financing of developing the sewer system through the involvement of private wastewater facilities. The staff have recommended the board approve not charging late fees to delinquent customers until the executive order is lifted by the governor. The board will also provide staff with direction on possibly proceeding with an action regarding a petition to list the western Joshua Tree as a threatened species. Finally, the staff will recommend the board approve the sewer assessment fee for Applebee’s in the amount of $294,333.
