At last night’s meeting of the Hi-Desert Water District board of directors, Dan Munsey, who was participating via phone from San Francisco, was named as president of the board, starting in 2019. Roger Mayes was named as the new vice president. The directors learned that the wastewater treatment plant is coming right along; the administration building is being framed and underground electrical work is going in. The plant is anticipated to open in June. In addition, the district expects the first residents to hook up to the sewer lines in June and July.
