HI-DESERT WATER BOARD MEETS, SEWER BUSINESS AND A CHANGE IN ENGINEERS

At last night’s meeting of the Board of Directors for the Hi- Desert Water District, the directors received an update from the Mojave Water Agency on the recent shutdown of the Morongo Basin Pipeline mainline for leak repairs that have been completed. The board also voted to authorize the general manager to enter a contract with CV Strategies to educate the public on the dos and don’ts after the connection is made to the sewer system. They also authorized a contract for $36,920 with RHA Landscape Architects Inc. to provide landscape architect services for the Wastewater Reclamation Facility. The District secured a $12,500 grant from the Mojave Water Agency bringing the total down to $24,420. The directors authorized the general manager to change engineering services from Atkins to Carollo in the amount of $896,734.
