In Yucca Valley the Hi-Desert Water District meets at 5 p.m. tonight while the Joshua Basin Water District, which serves Joshua Tree, has canceled tonight’s regularly scheduled meeting. Here’s reporter Mike Lipsitz with more on today’s water roundup…
Hi-Desert Water District’s meeting will cover a lot of territory this evening starting with a review of financial statements for the year ended march 31, 2021. Also tonight, staff is recommending the board adopt a resolution to adjust for some properties having a change of use of the sewer system. Also the board will review a resolution pertaining to wastewater fees for permits, inspection, and control, as well as discuss and provide staff guidance on FOG, or fats, oil, and grease, application and review processes. Tonight’s meeting is again virtual. The public is invited to observe or participate by phone or on the Zoom platform.
