HI-DESERT WATER BOARD MEETS; HISTORY, REPORTS AND JOSHUA TREES

The Board of Directors for the Hi-Desert Water District met last night. Assignment Reporter Keith Bailey was there and files this report…

At last night’s meeting of the Hi-Desert Water District board of directors, the directors heard a presentation that outlined the district’s long history of water conservation that dates back to the 1960s. The Directors also heard the annual hydrology and water quality report and were pleased to hear that district’s water has been without a hazardous incident for over a year.

The Horizon Tree Transplanting Inc. secured a contract with the district to temporarily relocate 37 Joshua trees. Once the pipework is laid for the Wastewater Treatment facility they will be returned to their original positions as per state guidelines.
