The Hi-Desert Playhouse will stage five performances of Bekah Brunstetter’s new play, “Going to a Place Where You Already Are,”at the Hi-Desert Cultural Center’s Blak Box Theater in Joshua Tree. It is a love story that explores the meaning of life with humor and hilariously awkward characters that serve up a magical world full of delight and surprise. “Going to a Place Where You Already Are” runs April 5, 6, 12, and 13 at 7:30 p.m., and a 2:30 matinee on Sunday, April 14. The play has a suggested rating PG-13 due to mild adult language and content. Doors open one-half hour prior to the performance. Tickets range from $15 for general admission up to $26 for elite seating. A cash bar is available prior to each performance and during intermission.
