Explore the ancient art of pottery with master potter and teacher of pottery techniques, Tony Soares. Soares learned his basics from his grandmother and continued to refine his skills, gathering clay from the Mojave Desert and firing the pots not in a kiln but in wood fire pits. He now wants to pass this art on to the younger generation so old traditions are not forgotten. Soares’s pottery is in the Palm Springs Art Museum and galleries in the Coachella Valley.
