HI-DESERT NATURE MUSEUM SCIENCE SATURDAY FEATURES NOSE AND TONGUE

Tomorrow the “Science Saturday” series continues at the Hi-Desert Nature Museum in Yucca Valley. Reporter Taylor Thacker says come on out and find about about your nose and tongue…
Did you know that the nose and tongue senses are related? Most people would easily associate the nose with smelling, but it actually helps with tasting too! The human nose receptors are 10,000 more times sensitive than taste buds, so a delicious cookie simply would not taste as yummy without the nose. Come out on Saturday, April 27th from 11-11:30am to the Hi-Desert Nature Museum to learn more about why the nose and tongue work together! Museum Educator Crystal Mason teaches school age children these interesting facts. Science Saturdays are free and no preregistration is required. Come out and learn something new this Saturday!
