HI-DESERT NATURE MUSEUM OFFERS YOUTH CAMP

The Hi-Desert Nature Museum of Yucca Valley is offering a summer fun and fitness youth camp that encourages healthy eating and exercise. Reporter Rebecca Havely describes the four weeks of fun…
New topics are offered each week of this four-week youth camp which begins June 23, and runs Tuesdays through Thursdays from 9 a. m. till noon. Week 1: “How Does Your Body Work?” has fun taste tests and food experiments. Week 2: “Eat A Rainbow”; kids eat healthy colorful foods. Week 3: “Art and Food” includes pottery, collages and fruit and veg stamp art. Week 4: “Fun and Games to Keep You Fit.” The youth camp is for children 6 and older. Registration is $20 per child, per week and all materials are included. The Hi-Desert Nature Museum seeks to inspire wonder, discovery and understanding.
