The 1906 San Francisco earthquake will be the topic of the next Wednesday lecture at the Hi-Desert Nature Museum. Historian and storyteller Bob Serrano will tell the tales he was told as a child by people who experienced the earthquake, or knew someone who had, while weaving in his research and providing a history of the earthquake. Serrano will demonstrate how closely we are all related through six degrees of separation to this event and similar ones. The lecture will be held 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, with a $5 donation at the door. The Hi-Desert Nature Museum is located in the Yucca Valley Community Center complex.
