Hi-Desert Nature Museum holding free succulent giveaway for budding botanists

The Hi-Desert Nature Museum is getting into the holiday spirit in a uniquely hi-desert fashion – they are holding a free succulent giveaway for kids.
On Wednesday (November 26), budding botanists are invited to stop by the Hi-Desert Nature Museum for a drop-in succulent propagating workshop designed for children ages 18-and-under facilitated by Plant Parenthood. Students will learn how to propagate and care for desert-adapted plants under the guidance of passionate community members who will share tips for helping these resilient species thrive both indoors and out.
This workshop is made possible thanks to the generosity of local community members who donated cuttings, soil and pots with the expressed interest in inspiring the next generation of plant lovers to pick up a trowel and dig in!
The Hi-Desert Nature Museum is operated by the Town of Yucca Valley and is located in the Yucca Valley Community Center Complex at 57090 Twentynine Palms Highway. The giveaway is Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
