The Hi-Desert Nature Museum delivers a new way to learn about the Mojave Desert. Join the museum twice a year for an all-encompassing micro-event called “Museum Spotlight,” which delves into relevant topics for the High Desert Community. Hilary Sloane will tell you about the exciting events…
The first series of events of the year is from April 20 to 23, focusing on ‘Reptiles of the Mojave’ and offering free educational opportunities. On Friday, April 22, the museum will host a reptile-themed kids’ craft workshop at 5:00 and a movie, Johnny Depp’s “Rango” at 6:00.” The museum will also offer light refreshments. On Saturday, April 23, from 12:00 to 4:00, the museum will present a lecture/demonstration with live reptiles by the museum’s resident biologist Stefanie Ritter and local rattlesnake wrangler Danielle Wall. All events are in the Cholla Room at the Yucca Valley Community Center.
