The Hi-Desert Nature Museum will hand out free discovery kit for kids tomorrow (September 4). These special edition Discovery Kits will introduce children to some of the stories surrounding Giant Rock, a natural wonder in Landers. Each story is accompanied by an activity which will teach the geology of Giant Rock and explore the lives of the two men who gave Giant Rock its out-of-this-world history. Pick up will be at the museum (57090 Twentynine Palms Hwy) in Yucca Valley from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., or until the kits are all gone.
