There are many considerations when it comes to managing your health, transportation to and from an appointment doesn’t have to be one of them. Thanks to a grant from Caltrans, the Hi-Desert Medical Center now offers free transportation to and from all District facilities: the hospital, the Family Health Clinics in Twentynine Palms and Yucca Valley, Airway medical facilities, and HDMC Physical Therapy in Joshua Tree. The nine-passenger van has a wheelchair ramp and room for two wheelchairs, The hospital website suggests, “Call us for a lift to your next HDMC medical appointment; 760-366-LIFT or 760-366-5438.”
