The waiting room in the emergency department at Hi-Desert Medical Center was recently dedicated to the memory of long-time employee Donna Johnson who died February 8. Johnson served as a nurse at the hospital for 52 years. On June 17, the Morongo Basin Healthcare District’s board of directors along with the governing board of the Medical Center, her widower Kent Johnson, and son David Newland, gathered in the waiting room to dedicate the room to Johnson.
