The Hospital Board meets tonight in regular session. Reporter Mike Lipsitz says some new medical equipment and a review process for contributions are on the agenda…
At tonight’s 6 p.m. meeting of the Hi-Desert Medical Center Board, Directors will consider purchase of an echocardiography scanner and picture archive and communications system. The equipment comes with a price tag of just over $300,000 and is an update of equipment now in operation but nearing the end of its usefulness. Among its many benefits, the new system will offer physicians remote access to echocardiogram images, and other documents related to the imaging exams. The only other item on the action agenda concerns establishment of a review process for contributions in excess if $1,000 to the Foundation. It all happens in the Helen Gray Education Center. Those actions and others are in addition to regular reports and the likely approval of items on the consent agenda.
