The Hi-Desert Medical Center Board of Directors holds the regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. today. Highlights of the meeting include recognition of the District’s Doctors of the Year; they are Dr. Renato Guzman in surgical, and Dr. Prem Salhotra in medicine. Then following the expected approval of items on the consent agenda, the board will consider approval of an amended and restated co-applicant agreement with the Hi-Desert Memorial Health Care District Community Health Center. Following that item and regular reports, the board will adjourn to closed session to discuss a personnel issue and a quality assurance matter. It all happens at the Helen Gray Education Center on the hospital campus.
