The Hi-Desert Medical Center’s Board of Directors will meet in a special closed session and regular open meeting tonight. The closed session, which starts at 4 p.m., will be a 2014 audit by hospital auditors. The regular meeting starts at 6 p.m. Following committee and administrative reports, appointments, reappointments, and policy recommendations, the board will reorganize. Nominated as president is Patricia Cooper; with Martie Avels as vice president; Joseph Sullivan as treasurer; Marge Doyle, secretary; and Paul Hoffman as member at large. Following the open meeting, the board will go into closed session again to discuss personnel and benefits, and quality assurance matters. The meeting will be held in the Helen Gray Education Center on the hospital campus in Joshua Tree.
