Hi Desert Comedy Campout brings stand up, improv, short films and plays to Wonder Valley this Fri + Sat (4/10 – 4/11)

The Hi Desert Comedy Campout begins in Wonder Valley on Friday (April 10) and runs through Saturday (April 11). The second annual event brings together a smattering of local comedians with comedy pros throughout Southern California for two days of live comedy performance spanning genres and mediums. Expect short films, stand up, improv, music, and even short plays. 

Organizers Kevin Bone and Vic Terry joined Cody and me on a Wednesday’s Z107.7 Morning Show to discuss the event. Here’s Vic Terry.

“Our tagline is that it’s a festival by artists for artists. I wanted to curate an experience that was exactly what I would have loved to have attended. We will showcase a lot of really hilarious wonderful performances of all sorts. It is all comedy but all different types of art forms

“The Palms is such a fun place… it’s as much about the experience of the weekend and connecting with everybody who’s there and having this really fun time as it is about being on stage yourself or watching another performance.”

Jef Harmatz is the co-host of Z107.7’s “Morning Show with Cody and Jef” and Z107.7’s News Director. He has worked as a journalist, cartoonist, chef, and delivery driver.
