The Hi-Desert Water District board of directors will hold a special closed session today (Wednesday, August 21). The first item on the agenda is to appoint a new interim general manager. Following that, the board will discuss anticipated litigation with its attorney. The special meeting is set for 5 p.m. in district offices at Inca Trail and Highway 62 in Yucca Valley.
At tonight’s regular 6:30 p.m. meeting of the Joshua Basin Water District, the board will consider changing the name of the Citizen’s Advisory Committee and likely approve three new appointments to that committee. In other business, the board will conduct the first annual review of the reserve policy which was adopted in May of 2018. Those items and others will follow public comments. Committee, staff and director’s reports come later. Tonight’s meeting takes place at district offices on Chollita Road in Joshua Tree.
