At tonight’s 7 p.m. meeting of the Joshua Basin Water District board, directors will consider a resolution to write off $15,000 of bad debt accumulated in 2014. The board may also decide to increase the security deposit required for new accounts with poor credit. Also tonight, the board is expected to approve adjustments to 2014-15 and 2015-16 budget as part of a mid-term review. Those items and others will precede committee, staff, and director’s reports. Tonight’s meeting takes place at District offices on Chollita Road in Joshua Tree.

The Hi-Desert Water District Board of Directors will meet at 6:00 tonight in district offices at Inca Trail and the Highway. Among the items on the agenda, the directors will be asked to approve a contract for a flood plain analysis of the wastewater reclamation facility property, and a $55,000 contract for various geographic information system start-up services associated with the wastewater reclamation project. The board will be asked to approve the purchase of an asphalt grinder for $98,500, followed by an update on the wastewater project, and reports from management.
