Thirteen different shows will perform at this summer’s Hi Def Fringe Festival, with performers from the high and low desert as well as San Diego and Los Angeles. Last year’s audience favorite winners will return from LA; “The Show That Shall Not Be Named”, improv comedy with a Harry Potter theme. From San Diego Catherine Barnes will present, “The International Man of Mystery”. An original piece by Grey Forge LeFey entitled, “Scrummy Bits of SoFonda Le Fey”; plus, other performers, workshops and special sessions. New this year is the class “Short Attention Span Theatre” for young children and teens. Also, special sessions on making a living as an actor, and developing a community-based theatre company. The Hi Def Fringe Festival will take place at the Joshua Tree Retreat Center August 23 through 25. For tickets visit hidesertfringe.org.
