An illegal U-turn resulted in the arrest of a Joshua Tree woman for transporting heroin. According to a Sheriff’s report, Richelle Hopper, 29, made an illegal U-turn near Chollita Road and Center Avnue in Joshua Tree about 2:40 a.m. During a search, the deputy found a meth pipe and various drugs on her person and in her purse. Richelle Hopper was arrested for investigation of transporting heroin for sale and bringing narcotics into the Morongo Basin Jail.
