Herbalist Charla Shamhart will present a 2 -hour class on using 23 common kitchen herbs as natural remedies this Saturday, February 11, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Rainbow Stew in Yucca Valley. Shamhart collects herbs in California and Arizona throughout the year, is a long-time member of the American Botanical Council and recently was admitted to the American Apitherapy Society using the medicine of honeybees for improving health. This is part of an ongoing series of classes on herbs and nutrition being offered at Rainbow Stew. There is no set fee for this class, but a donation is appropriate. Rainbow Stew is located at 55509 Twentynine Palms Hwy across from Dollar General in Yucca Valley.
