HEMET MAN ARRESTED IN MORONGO VALLEY, ACCUSED OF DEALING DRUGS

A Hemet man was arrested Sunday (February 28) night, accused of being a drug dealer. About 10 p.m., deputies stopped a 2003 Mitsubishi for an expired vehicle registration on Highway 62 near North Star Trail in Morongo Valley. Deputies learned the driver, Joel Minasian, 29, was on felony probation for selling drugs. During a search of Minasian’s vehicle, deputies found methamphetamine, heroin, prescription narcotics, and drug paraphernalia. Joel Minasian was arrested on suspicion of possession of controlled substance for sales and for violation of his probation, and was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000.
