The election of James Ramos to the State Assembly representing the 40th District will leave the county’s third supervisorial district, our district, without a representative on the county board of supervisors. For those interested in the job, reporter Mike Lipsitz says now is the time to apply…
James Ramos officially joins the state assembly December 3 at noon. At a special meeting of the county board of supervisors called for 10 a.m. tomorrow, November 13, at the County Government Center in San Bernardino, the board will open the application process and set public interviews of qualified applicants to take place Tuesday, December 11. To be considered to fill the unexpired term of the Third District County Supervisor ending in 2020, potential successors must have been a registered voter in the district for at least 30 days prior to applying. Applicants must submit a cover letter, resume and application to the Clerk of the Board between this Wednesday and 2 p.m. December third. Following the close of the filing period, applicants will receive a set of issue-based questions to address during the December 11 public interviews.
