The Sheriff’s Department is investigating an attempted robbery in Yucca Valley early Sunday morning. According to a Sheriff’s report, the victim called deputies about 4:30 a.m. to say that a man tried to grab her purse when she was in a parking lot in the 57500 block of Yucca Trail. The alleged purse snatcher told the woman to give him the purse and her money, but he fled without the purse when she screamed.
