Morongo Basin Sheriff’s detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a grand theft in Yucca Valley last month. On July 3, the victim drove a pick-up truck to the Grocery Outlet store in the 57200 block of 29 Palms Highway in Yucca Valley. While he was in the store, an unidentified male suspect stole several thousands dollars worth of tools from the truck, and loaded the tools into a white 4-door Nissan Versa. Surveillance footage from a nearby business shows the Versa has body damage on the passenger side and is missing hubcaps. The suspect is described as Caucasian or Hispanic, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, and weighing about 170 pounds, with shoulder-length dark hair.
