Motorists are advised to prepare for heavy traffic on Highway 62 and the Interstate 10 freeway this weekend. Expect to see hundreds of motorcycle riders as they travel through the Morongo Basin on Highway 62 on their way to, and from, the Laughlin River Run. The River Run started Wednesday and goes through Sunday. Traffic of vehicles towing boats will be exceptionally heavy on Highway 62 on Sunday and Monday as the Desert Storm Poker Run at Lake Havasu in Arizona comes to a close. In addition, the Stagecoach Festival in Indio is expected to cause traffic delays on the 10 freeway. Expect heavier-than-usual traffic on Friday and Monday.
