Memorial Day weekend is traditionally one of the heaviest travel times in the Inland Empire region. CalTrans is expecting lengthy delays on some area roads and freeways, with heaviest delays between Beaumont and Indio on I-10; at the Cajon Pass, and between Rancho Cucamonga and Hesperia on I-15. CalTrans urges motorists to plan ahead before they travel, and to bring water and snacks, have a full tank of gas, bring a car charger for your cell phone, and most importantly, be patient.
