Heaven Proper plays at the Firehouse in Joshua Tree tonight (9/20)

Heaven Proper is a new act from Lexie Papilion. Formerly of the LA-based indie pop band Blood Boy, Papilion went on hiatus and moved to Joshua Tree. Here, she developed the sound for her new project, Heaven Proper, which she describes as guitar-driven indie pop, rock and folk. The act debuted an EP this summer called Natural Born Machine.

You can catch Heaven Proper in one of their first performances tonight at the Firehouse in Joshua Tree. They’ll be supported by Sailor Ripley.

There’s a $10 suggested donation, and the event is BYOB. Doors at 7:00 p.m. The Firehouse is located at 65430 Winters Road in Joshua Tree.
