Did you know that the Hi-Desert has its very own Sasquatch? He’s known as “Yucca Man.” Come hear this scary tale and a few others this Wednesday, November 14. Reporter Heather Clisby has the gory details…
Halloween may be behind us but there are still plenty of spooky tales here in the Mojave. Ken Layne, editor and radio host of the Desert Oracle, is telling some creepy desert tales at the local event, “Yucca Man and Other Monsters of the Mojave” on November 14.
In addition to “Yucca Man,” Layne will also narrate spine-chilling tales of Death Valley UFOs, the haunted Calico general store and the ghost woman of Route 66. Layne will also be sign books and Desert Oracles after the question and answer session.
The event is part of the Morongo Basin Historical Society’s second Wednesday lecture series held at the Hi-Desert Nature Museum in Yucca Valley, 57116 29 Palms Hwy. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. and the donation is $5.
