Get out your running shoes and run on over to the 25th Annual Healthy Hearts 5K run and 2K walk in Yucca Valley. The event starts at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, February 25, at Essig Park, 8490 Warren Vista Avenue. If running isn’t your thing, you can participate in the 2K walk. Both events are open to all ages and fitness levels. Awards will be presented to overall male and female finishers as well as in age divisions. Register in advance at the Recreation Office in the Community Center, online at yucca-valley.org, or at 8 a.m. on race day. The registration fee is $20. For more information call 760-369-7211.
