Controller Debbie Anderson reported finances are down fifty percent due to COVID-19 social distancing, but with additional grants and stimulus monies, the District will break even.

Also, the Family First Coronavirus Response Act to assist employees with job-protected leave and pay is in effect from April 1 until December 31.

There was COVID-related activity at the Continuing Care Center last week, and after testing, there are now only two positive COVID residents. They remain in isolation and are medically stable.

The High Desert Medical Center is reinstating operations in the outpatient rehab center as well as scheduling outpatient diagnostic and surgical elective cases.
