Due to the sustained success of the Diabetes Prevention Program at the Morongo Basin Healthcare District, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, or CDC, has awarded full recognition to the healthcare district for its prevention program. This recognition is reserved for programs that have effectively delivered a quality, evidence-based program that meets all of the CDC standards for recognition.
