The Morongo Basin Healthcare District regular meeting began with Director of Business Development Joe Ruddon’s update on the wildly successful health fair in Luckie Park, which had over 400 visitors. Ruddon reported the all-volunteer Flying Doctors provided more than $30,000 in dental services to local residents. Controller Debbie Anderson reported operating income was under budget by $107,000 in July and $117,000 in August. In her report, CEO Jackie Combs stated that the District is now enrolled with the Association of California Healthcare Districts and is in the process of compiling information for District certification.
