Last night’s meeting began with reviewing the governing board for the Morongo Basin Community Health Center. CEO Jackie Combs said that they are still looking for one more current or former patient to sit on the board. The new board’s first meeting will be on the 22nd. To comply with the Hi Desert Medical Center’s lease the last of the funds for Capital Alterations for the HDMC campus, have been budgeted for this year and the next. And Combs’ update on the District’ strategic plan includes improving access to primary care and specialty care in the Morongo Basin and maximizing Medi-Cal covered services.
