The August meeting began with a presentation from Hi-Desert Medical Center CEO Karin Faulis on the Hospital Quality Assurance Fee program. The Board then approved an extension on Capital expenditure to December 2020 for one last time. The Board also approved the modified authorization policy and revised District’s overhead needed to restate the District’s budget for the 2020 fiscal year with approval of the Community Health Center Board. In the financial report, the District is showing positive operating income for the year ending June 2019 at more than $1.5 million.
