The healthcare district is working to add doctors, including psychiatrists and internal medicine, who will be able to see patients in person and via telehealth. The district has been approached about providing dental care to provide dental services to local Head Start programs, which have about 400 students. In addition, two questions have been added to patients’ medical records to ask about food insecurity. Those in need may be offered a bag of food or directed to CalFresh or local food pantries.
