The board members of the Morongo Basin Healthcare District and the Community Health Center met last night in the first of what will be quarterly meetings to improve communication and collaboration between the two boards. Last night’s chairperson, Paul Hoffman, stated items that need action in the quarterly meeting will need to be sent back to their respective boards and regular meetings for approval. The meeting then led to a discussion on the co-application agreement, a requirement for government grants. The agreement will spell out the responsibilities for the boards together and separately. Two members from each board volunteered to work on the agreement, which each board will tentatively approve in June.
