HEALTHCARE DISTRICT BOARD DISCUSSES OPEN MEETINGS AND TRANSPORTATION

Last night’s meeting of Morongo Basin Healthcare District began with a comprehensive presentation on the Brown Act, which was done mostly for the benefit of the Community Health Center Governing Board directors, who were in attendance. The board then approved and appointed President Bob Armstrong and Secretary Dianne Markle-Greenhouse to an ad hoc committee to facilitate the CEO evaluation process. Director of Business Operations Joe Ruddon reported that Lift transportation provided free non-emergency transportation to 6,106 seniors and logged in over 95,000 miles last year. The Mobile Medical Unit will be making a visit to Copper Mountain Community College on March 19.
