Yesterday, the Morongo Basin Healthcare District held a meeting
for a tabled vote for a proposed Mobile Health clinic. Reporter Eric Knabe has the details…
On April 19, the Morongo Basin Healthcare District delayed the vote on the mobile clinic for lack of financial information. Yesterday the board received from CEO Jackie Combs a proposed comprehensive budget for the clinic. This estimated budget starts with the winning bid from Universal Specialty Vehicles and adds the equipment the mobile clinic needs for a total cost of $375,971, with the total operating cost including personnel at $224,895. The majority of service that will be done to the vehicle will be done by businesses here in the district. The vote passed unanimously.
