The Morongo Basin Healthcare District Board of Directors got right to work last night, starting with approving a resolution authorizing participation in the employees’ health benefits program which has expanded its coverage and added a HMO option. Then the board reviewed the updated District Strategic Plan for 2019-2022. Among the areas of focus was providing transportation for patients in need for services provided by the MBHD and other clinics in the area and health education for all ages. Finally the Financial Report showed that for the first month of the 2019-2020 financial year showed that it was 3 percent under budget for the dollar amount $34,651.
