HEALTH DOCUMENTARY “BITE SIZE” TO BE SHOWN IN YUCCA VALLEY TOMORROW

After a two-month hiatus, the Seventh-day Adventist Church is returning to its monthly health documentary screenings tomorrow, October 30. Reporter Heather Clisby has details…
National childhood obesity rates stand at a troubling 18.5 percent and the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Yucca Valley wants to shine a light on the epidemic with their screening of “Bite Size.” Made in 2014, this film follows the journey of four kids – Keanna, Davion, Moy and Emily – struggling with weight issues as well as family, health and painful social challenges.
The free screening of “Bite Size” will be held at Seventh-day Adventist Church, 8035 Church Street in Yucca Valley. There will be a free light meal served at 6 p.m. followed by the one-and-a-half hour film.
