The popular duo Mojave Rhythm will be the headline entertainment during Yucca Valley’s Grubstake Days community fair. Songwriter and guitarist Steve Lester, aka JT Easy, and Bobby Furgo, a violinist and keyboard player, are both members of the Shadow Mountain Band. Furgo has played and has toured with Leonard Cohen, Nancy Sinatra, Eric Burdon and the Animals, and Freddy Fender, and has played at Carnegie Hall, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and on Jay Leno’s Tonight Show, and Austin City Limits. Lester was a founding member of the Boys Next Door and has done shows with Chuck Berry, Bobby Goldsboro, Tommy James, the Hollies, the Beach Boys, Herman’s Hermits, and Little Feat. Mojave Rhythm will be on the main stage at Brehm Sports Park from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 24.
