To celebrate the unique form of time-lapse photography, Harrison House is hosting a unique film festival next Saturday. Reporter Heather Clisby has details…
Time-lapse photography is a technique in which the frequency at which film frames are captured is much lower than the frequency used to view the sequence. When played at normal speed, time appears to be moving faster and thus lapsing.
Harrison House is hosting a Time Lapse Film Festival on July 24 at 8:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Tickets are on a sliding scale with a minimum cost of $5.
The theme of the festival is “Tell Me a Story!” and categories include: the beauty of nature, humans and nature, living in the city, documentary/social commentary, experimental and iphone/mobile.
Harrison House is located at 6881 Mount Lassen Avenue in Joshua Tree. For tickets and more info, visit the link below.
