As holiday activities begin to return to a more normal celebration with family and friends visiting, pets may still get lost in the hustle and bustle. Here with some safety tips for making sure your pet is safe is News Director Cassidy Taylor…
Keep people food out of reach of your pet. Make sure your pet doesn’t have any access to treats, especially those containing chocolate, xylitol, grapes, raisins, onions, or other toxic foods. Don’t leave your pet alone in the room with lit candles, a decorated tree, or potpourri. Keep holiday plants, especially holly, poinsettia, mistletoe, and lilies, out of reach of pets.
Secure your Christmas tree to keep it from falling over if your dog bumps it or if your cat climbs on it. Provide a safe place for your pet to escape the excitement of the holidays.
